Now, the programming concepts book that I really want would be the successor to Lisp in Small Pieces (ISBN 0-521-56247-3), but AFAICT, it hasn't been finished. If you are writing code that needs to live and is critical to the organization, hire literate programmers and an English major as an editor-in-chief. Caveat: this is not a best-of nor a comprehensive list of Lisp books; it is merely a selection of Lisp books you may not have heard of or that special to me in some way.
